At the age of 13, Adira O'Brien's family and institute was massacred by an army of ex circle members. Everyone in the California institute was killed, except for Adira. Many of the attackers were killed, but after they'd killed everyone, Adira kept in fighting and somehow managed to kill all of the remaining members.
When the clave found out about the tragedy and how strong and fierce of a fighter Adira is, they sent her to the New York institute to help train others. Although she was only 13, she was the best fighter they had. She was able to beat Jace Wayland on multiple occasions.
What happens when she meets Alec Lightwood?

Okay this is two years in to the future picking up off of where 'Letters From the Shadow World'. Simon and Izzy are still in a long distance relationship. Clary is still struggling with depression witch has only gotten worse to her parabatai's disappointment. Jace and Adele have been dating for a year and a half now. Isabelle has been sending updates once a month to the New York City Institute. She has pushed Clary in her training in between visits with Tessa Grey even though Clary has nearly stopped hunting completely.
