Meredith Grey lost the love of her life, husband, and father of her children a year ago. She hasn't been able to live fully without him and doesn't feel fulfilled, but is still going through the motions. She has her work, children, and friends to occupy her while also partially owning Grey-Sloan Memorial. Something is missing though because her heart still only beats for Derek. Her sister-in-law and a few other unexpected people have proved to be a big help within the year, but what if something else happened the day her husband passed away? What would his homecoming look like?
