Nesta has always been prickly, cold, and misunderstood.
Cassian has always yearned to figure out how her mind works.
Two years after the bust up that left them separated and estranged, Cassian is delegated the task of finding Nesta and bringing her back to Velaris for a life changing family alteration.
Finding her? No so easy. Getting her to get into the car with him? Just as difficult. And trying to get her to open up to him after their estrangement? Impossible.
But journeys on the road aren't easy, either. And it just might be that spending a few days in Summer for the Solstice might change them both forever.
Broken hearts are not easily fixed. Fractured pasts less so. But the trickiest labyrinths are always easier to navigate with a friend.
