Emma Ferguson was known as "the pastor's daughter" for several years in Hartford County, Connecticut. Her and her mother and father lived happily for 16 years until one day, a drink in a Jeep took their happiness away. She was left with grief and a widowed mother in mourning.

She thought she'd never get her life back and never allowed the Catholic church to replace her father's place with any other pastor or priest. That was, until one day, a new face came to the church and offered to take his place.

A handsome young Irish immigrant, not too fluent in English by the name of Finn O'Connor blinds her with lust and she completely forgets about him filling in for her father, angering her mother.
