An Alphas Harsh, Cold Love

Shannon was born to a pair of Betas, the second highest ranking in a pack. An Alpha being the first highest. Being the first born she should have been the next in line to be Beta, once the old Alpha stepped down and his son stepped in. That was not going to happen though, Shannon was born more human than wolf, making it impossible for her to. Shannon's younger brother would be the next Beta instead. The fact Shannon was more human, made her an Omega. Shannon being more human, was not that big of a surprise seeing as her mother was a human. Giving her parent's a 50/50 chance of either having children that turned out to be more human than wolf, or more wolf than human. Although her family did not view her as being weaker than them, most of the other pack members did see her as weaker. A wolf stuck that was stuck in it's human form, usually were treated more as a human and kept out of pack matters. That was also the thing that made Shannon stand out from the rest, her pack treated her differently, but they also kept her in the loop. They still treated her like she was still fully part of the pack, even if she was not going to be the next Beta.
Dakota Lee Franklin, the Alpha Prince. Dakota is first in line to take over as the Alpha King once his father passes away. That is once finds his soulmate, takes a mate, or produces an heir to the throne. Once Dakota loses his mate not long after finding her, he makes a vow not to take another. Instead, he plans on choosing an Omega as his Mistress.
