One Way Ticket began as a foal like every other wild horse roaming the hills of Virginia. But the government ignored the indignant cries of Sadies family when they made the final decission to rally the wild horses and keep them under control. The valley was thrown into disaster as all hell broke lose. The thundering of frantic horse's hooves resounded through the lands, and all Ticket could see was the dust kicked up from his mother. It became harder and harder to keep up, and soon, too soon, Ticket felt a rope around his neck.
Brought to the square of a farmers town in Virginia, Ticket stands, head bowed, sighing, and scrawny. He sees men pointing and laughing. He hears boos radiating around him. But in the midst of everything, Ticket sees a girl, Sadie Hawthorne, and her mother standing quietlly, looking at me with tender eyes. The mother raises her hand, the booing stops and Ticket is claimed.
Days, months, years, it doesnt matter. Since then Ticket has learned to love his humans, and forgotten his love before. Forgotten even his life before. He decided the moment she became his savior, young Sadie Hawthorne would become like his own colt...and some one he knew he would always fight for.
But whaat happens when Ticket has to question where his loyalties lie?
And then the shots ring out...
