I turned to look back and realized my fate was sealed. Charles saw me and I knew, I needed to go. I threw caush into the wind and sprinted toward the exit. I was a breath away from all this chaos he brought. He intercepted me at the door. 'Ellie, I've been looking for you' he said so sincerely, not a sinister smile nor look of aggression on his face. But I could stop the images from appearing in my head.
'Have you?' I replied nonchalantly, trying to control my tone. I put my hands in my pockets to try to make them stop shaking violently. 'Yes we haven't talked all week are you alright?' He tried to touch my shoulder, I flinched away quickly. 'Fine' I replied in a clipped tone, minutes away from breaking down on the spot.
'Did something happen?' He asked a look of total concern on his face. My breath quickened and my heart raced the images blurred through my head like a movie screen. 'Look I know what you are, and I can't get wrapped up in that, I'm sorry' I said my voice breaking at the end. I pushed past him, while tears blurred my vision. 'Wait Ellie, let me explain' He called after me. I sprinted away, until I couldn't here his calls anymore.
