Imagine it.
You found something you think will finally quench your constant need for your element. You ask your friends to come and think that it will be amazing- and it is. It's awesome and powerful, but that's the problem. It defies your every command, and you can only watch as your only desire burns away your friends, your life, your place in society. You watch as your status is stripped away, you are told you cannot practice your ability, and you go along because when you tried to fix it, it made it worse.
What can you lose anymore?
Your sanity?
Gone- twice.
Your connections?
Gone.
Your reputation?
Gone.
Your friends?
Gone.
I ask again, what can you lose?
Imagine even more.
You had a bright future- you could've served as councillor for many years after that. You could've- no, scratch that- you did have it all. All gone because of one action that toppled your life. You've through many things. You've loved and broke up and lived a normal, yet turbulent life.

They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone.
