The Gods have come. Not the benevolent gods from religions across the world. They are gods of chaos and mayhem. And humanity is their primary source of entertainment. And the cruel humans that worship them? The gods give them abilities--powers to "entertain" the gods--and call them Worshipers. How do I fit into this story? Well I met a boy; quiet, naïve but adorable Nathan. Imagine my surprise when we run into Worshipers and instead of tearing us apart they bow to my nice, quiet boyfriend. They're all monsters, except for him...he was my charge and as much as I wanted to hate him, the prince was nothing like his vicious father. He was a warm light in my cold and dark world. I was supposed to be controlled, cold, calculating and deadly, but he made me crave freedom, warmth and all the things I thought died with my family.
