Alvenna Figuira is a shadow traveler. On one of her quests she meets her mate, Hosaam, who is a wolf. An odd occurrence, but not unwelcome. While living the life of a shadow traveler is difficult, Alvenna always returns back to her mate safely. But, is she really safe or is that just something she tells her mate? - When he says the word mate, the temperature drastically jumps up. I meet his heated stare when he pulls back to look at me. "Do you want this mate?" He halts his hands from moving up and down like before, now they're stationary on my hips. His hair is a ruffled from my hands-when did they get in his hair?-and his chest is slightly heaving from lust. I nod, I do want this. I want him. A/N: I honestly have no direction whatsoever and this is a poorly decided upload from start. Definitely a learn-as-we-go type. Need more incentives? Check out tags.

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect.
