Sitting there with Jordan just didn't feel right anymore, not after the news he just delivered. Dahlia hopped back and off of his bed, quickly sliding back into her fuzzy slippers. She knew she had to get away from this nightmare.
"Baby, wait!"
Jordan was up a moment later, gently gripping her wrists, trying to pull her back in, but it was already too late.
Dahlia's tears had begun to spill and he knew he was losing her.
"No, Jordan."
The calm tone in her voice scared Jordan... he knew it was masking something much bigger on the inside.
"All this time, fifteen years... I thought I was lucky. I found my person... the guy that was never going to hurt me. You were the one person I thought I could trust."
