The tale that unfolds after Aslan Callenreese collapses in the NY public library; and after the last of the illegal drug "BANANAFISH" is believed to be destroyed. There might be chaos. There might be peace. There might be heart wrenching-moments and butterflies, and tears and smiles holding so many more emotions than can be expressed or understood. This is THE AFTERMATH. (My headcanon. The one where Ash lives. All the characters mentioned here are unfortunately purely fictional. Some characters belong to the author of the original manga Banana Fish, Akimi Yoshida; while others are the creation of my imagination. The storyline of this fanfiction belongs to me and is based off of the anime Banana Fish.) Enjoy. (Hope you'll bear with me and my super-slow update speed. ) (Current status : ongoing and just started) PS: Please DO NOT plagiarise my story OR publish parts of it anywhere WITHOUT my permission. (Also please do comment and press on the star icon if you do like the story; it helps me know if my story's being read and the feedback is super helpful. Thanks! ) Much love, AmeliAbu.

Everything is now over and everything will be back to normal. That should go for all who suffered the long time of war and pain, wins and losses, gains and loses. But Eiji is an exception. It's now time to return to his homeland, Japan. He feels a void in his heart as he boards the plane and he knows very well what can fill that void. It's that person he shared all his pains with. The only person he can't bear to lose, the only person he desires to see before he leaves. But he can't turn back now. He's made up his mind and he knows what he's doing is for the best. "Eiji." A voice rings in his ears. He knows that voice. He knows who called him and he listens to it. "I'm sorry Ibe-san but I'm going down." He doesn't want to leave and regret this for the rest of his life. He needs to see Ash right now. He needs to be with him. So he makes a decision and takes the risk. But, did he make the right choice? Or did he make a choice that will make him want to reset time and wish he never went off the plane?
