A post on Gamerr about a new game called ClockQuest says the author will pay the tester, and all they need to do is download the game and try it out. Jackson downloads ClockQuest and tries it out. After scanning the game with thousands of Anti-Virus and Virus detection software, He is now able to play the game without a care. Except, he isn't. A weird sound plays through his headphones. He's now unconscious, in a world unknown. He wakes up in a Steampunk outfit, and looks around. He's in a place they call The Clock.

Eight other players are confined alongside them, led by a guide who has no intention of finding a way home. With no means of reaching home, they play the game that feels too real. As a crewmate, Kate has to figure out who the impostors are and, more importantly, figure out a way back. Without knowing who she can trust, Kate must complete the tasks. But there is a much larger ploy at play, a plan that could imprison Kate, Frank, and the other players in this game-maybe forver. TW: Blood, death.
