After her mother, who resides in Florida, decides she doesn't want to be a parent anymore, fifteen year-old Rose Effek is sent to live with her father in London. However, the plane crashes in a strange new environment with unnatural plants and animals.
She and the few others that survived have to then try to find their way off of the island.
