As the heir to the crown of Terrasen, Estelle Whitethorn Galathynius has always felt more responsibility towards her duties than her other siblings. She's the one to follow the rules, to stay in the lines, to keep her people's faith and her parent's trust. She'd never do anything to jeopardize what she has. 

Nyx, on the other hand, has no such qualms. While he may be next in line as High Lord of the Night Court, he isn't much for the life of a leader. Nyx dreams of adventures like the ones from stories, the stories of his people and his parents. He doesn't want to fit into a frame, but he doesn't know how to change the life he was born into. 

A daughter of Terrasen and a son of the Night Court have met once before. The tale is practically legend. But that story ended a long time ago, and the doorways between worlds have since been shut. 

Or so everyone thought. One day, Nyx stumbles upon an open door, and he's pulled into a world he's only heard whispers about. To get Nyx home, the son of Night and the Princess of Terrasen must work together to find a way re-open the doorways between worlds, and do it fast... before either of them finds a reason for Nyx to stay. 

(This is set after the events of ACOSF, and Kingdom of Ash! It's also set after the events of my own fanfiction series, Cursebreaker and Fireheart!! I'd recommend reading these beforehand, as there will be spoilers!!)
