He held me down on the ground and studied me, his obsidian eyes trapping mine as I silently trembled.  I wanted to struggle and fight and break free or at least have one of my clan's men rescue me, but the knowledge that they would never come for me nagged at me, just the way it always had.  "So you were their precious treasure? The one that caused all of this?" He finally asked.  I swallowed.  Then I nodded.
