The Eternal Vampire

Rome, the eternal city, the "city that lasts forever". That is where Tristan is from, Tristan the ancient vampire that rescues young Steven when he and his girlfriend are brutally attacked. He cannot save Steven's girlfriend, but he saves Steven the only way he knows how--he turns him into a vampire.

Tristan welcomes Steven into his home, here he meets the others that Tristan rescued and loved. Isolde, his lover, whom he rescued from a dumpster but has left mortal. Fabi, the son of Roman aristocrats who Tristan saved from an ancient monster in a forest grove in Roman occupied Briton. Claude who he rescued on Napoleon's retreat from Moscow, and Rainer, the mysterious German vampire.

This is Tristan's family, but not all is well. Rainer has attacked Isolde and Tristan drives him away. Tristan takes Isolde to Greece to recover and leaves the three boys to themselves. While he is gone, a man shows up looking for a woman who looks like Isolde. And Steven is kidnapped and introduced to a group of vampires who dwell in undersground Seattle and want to know who Tristan is. One, Lenore, befriends Steven, but even she is leaving Steven with more questions than answers
