Ezra is a forest cat stuck in an apocalyptic world where animals become derranged and bloodthirsty once 'infected'. She travels only to stumble upon Stephen, another cat with a mysterious history and a serious personality, who also lives with a group of survivors in a human home. Ezra soon realizes that even though she is now surrounded by other strong animals, no one will ever be truly safe.
