Detroit, the year is late 2026. Story begins two months before the first attack on Sarif Industries headquarters and continues through the Deus Ex: Human Revolution game events. Laura Werner is a freelance hacker who was hired to gather intel for unknown superiors. Mission supposed to be easy until Adam Jensen - Head of the Security didn't interrupt her plans...

This fanfic was based on my comic, but I changed some things, because those who already know the comic may consider reading the same things boring. Also during writing I felt that some scenes would be better and more emotional after changes. I had to make some major time corrections to fit my events and stretched game action to weeks/months not days. So I'm warning those of you who are not comfortable with my 2026 - 2028 time period before reading.

Dr.Wu was taken away and many others fled while the dinosaurs ran freely into the world of humans. Sometime later, Dr.Wu decided to make another Indoraptor for reasons concerning money. Though, he couldn't get the DNA to make the Indoraptor controllable he decided to change the code. Instead of making another male Indoraptor, he made a female with greater differences than the first. As Dr.Wu works on his money situation, his very creation is watching him from the shadows. One of her caretakers from when she was young had named the Indoraptor 'Sable', for her colors were almost pitch black but that changed once she grew. Sable soon escaped her confinement and not wanting to risk the same thing happening again like the first did Dr.Wu decide to tranquilize her. In the 2020s, many biotechnology companies existed all over the world and were helping to advance mechanical augmentations, making them commonplace in society but was still controversial. One such company, Sarif Industries, which had been founded in 2007 and had quickly grown to become one of the major biotech companies by 2027. By 2027, Multinational biotech corporations specializing in human enhancement are competing for dominance in what has become a controversial field. Many engage in wars against each other, employing thieves, moles, and hackers to steal their competitor's ideas. To protect it's research, Sarif Industries has recently developed it's own internal security force. Enter Adam Jensen, the newly appointed head of Security of Sarif. (Story edited so it would work as my school project story.)
