The first thing Leo Malfoy was told as soon as he could walk and talk, was not to show any emotion. His father had instilled in him how to be a proper pureblooded gentleman, how to rightfully wear the Malfoy name. He hated it, he wanted nothing to do with his father.
However all he had done since his brother had been born was do everything he could to try and protect him. But his brother was getting older and showing the same beliefs as their father, so Leo was finally ready to break away. Permanently. He only had a handful of friends but he didn't know how to ask for help and he didn't know the first thing about letting anybody know how he truly felt.
This all changed when he met his new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Remus Lupin. A shy and reserved man who would turn out to be the one who would finally find out the whole truth about the Malfoy heir.
But can Leo let him in? Would he allow him to help him when he was known for being rude and handling things on his own. It seemed like an impossible task. After all, what else could be expected of someone who was known to be so Cold Hearted.
