Megan Carter grew up on the road.

She lost her first tooth while flying over Montana. She celebrated her thirteenth birthday camped in a rickety, rainbow-colored motel in Joshua Tree, California; when the power went out, she and her dad played cards in the light of her birthday candles. She attended high school in six different states and never got a diploma. She learned how to drive in Austin, Texas; she also rode a bull there and subsequently broke her arm in two places. She lost her virginity to a boy in Washington who wore hand-patched jackets and crooned old Al Green songs to her afterwards. She'd watched her dad as he tuned guitars for ska musicians and heavy metal prima donnas; when she was old enough, she was allowed to do it for him.

So drawing up a contract to join Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's Up in Smoke Tour didn't feel like too big of a leap outside of Megan's comfort zone.

It's a shadier place than expected.

Haven Mathers is the oldest daughter of Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem, Slim Shady, the white guy from D12, and so on. She was the result of an affair Marshall had when he was young, but he still loved her all the same. She was his baby, and as she grew up, he was her best friend. When Haven hit the age of eighteen, she had to travel everywhere with her father because Kim didn't want her around. Kim claimed to love Haven as her own, but obviously that wasn't true. She traveled with him for two years, before she decided she wanted to get out on her own. Being the daughter of famous rapper, Eminem, she had to move to a place that she'd less likely get mobbed every time she went to a store or restaurant. Being on tour with him for two years made her a lot more recognized and pretty much famous than the rest of her sisters. It was a blessing and a curse; a blessing to rub in Kim's face, but a curse because Haven wanted to be normal sometimes. Anyhow, the young girl decided to move to Charming, California. The only people who knew where she went was her father and her sisters. Nobody else was allowed to know, and she liked that. She didn't expect that living in Charming would put her in a completely different lifestyle, but she also still had to deal with the fame and recognition from her father's fans, but also the criticism about her family, especially her father, in the news and to her face. It was a pain, but one man started to make it better. Things don't turn completely as planned when her father finds out about him, especially when he learns that the man is the same age as him. He gets angry, but he'd do anything for his girls, so would he really hurt her for being with the man?

#1 on Eminem hashtag as of May 9th, 2023 Sometimes not existing is a useful tool, it keeps you out of trouble, keeps you secretive and stops you from developing useless emotions. But what if you had a chance to exist to only one person, just them? Would you take that chance? "I don't know, it doesn't matter." - Mallory is twenty and is living a life no one knows of. She's not doing anything specifically risqué, other than a big art project. In her eyes, she does not exist to those outside of her apartment, which means no one. However, when Marshall Mathers moves in to the apartment beside her, they get into a little spat, setting off an "annoying" series of interactions. His curiosity in regards to her instantly engages. Their personalities seem comedically abstract to one another as Marshall attempts to understand the cynical Mallory, while she is just trying to get him out of her life. Well, at least that's what she's trying to convince herself. [Warning for sexual content]
