As you know James fell in love with Casey. First, they were roommates, then they became something more. They shared a love that was more meaningful than anything James ever had but when Casey's mom announces her Cancer diagnosis and Casey chooses to move back home to be there with her family instead of spending the summer with James and his cousins in Mexico.
