In a world filled with harsh pasts, extinction of most of humanity and many landscapes torn apart, the few left struggle to survive in the aftermath.
Five years ago is when the downfall of mankind took place. Everything known and loved either perished or disappeared. Kat was one of the survivors, or as some may say, the lucky ones.
In those years she learned how to stay alive by herself, wary of her surroundings and the people that passed through. With one of the monsters stalking her home she never had the courage to leave, that is until Aster came along.
