Moss wasn't like the other RainWings. She wasn't lazy or stupid. Not at all. She was dangerous. She was deadly. And she was prepared to kill anyone who got in her way.
Moss is a young RainWing at the age of seven, just reaching adulthood. Her half-brother, Bamboo, is the only dragon she can trust, and after finding an enchanted scroll that can change them into any dragon they want, Moss and Bamboo leave the rainforest to start a new life as SkyWings.
Not long after they reach the Sky Kingdom, Moss and Bamboo, now called Carmine and Peregrine, are hired by Queen Scarlet to kill Blister. Moss and Bamboo set out to find the SandWing princess and end her, but she's mysteriously disappeared from the continent.
After months of searching, Moss and Bamboo eventually return to the Sky Kingdom to report their mission a failure. But they come back to learn that Scarlet is gone, and Ruby is queen. Now that the ex-queen of th SkyWings is gone, Moss and Bamboo decide to become MudWings instead.
Will they ever return to the Rainforest Kingdom and their lives as RainWings? Or will they choose to remain as assassins forever, constantly backstabbing the dragons who hire them and remaining loyal to no one but each other?

The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? Or will they be split apart and she'll be stuck between torn sides. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T.
