Everyone, especially Indians, thinks they know Ramayana & Mahabharata. But do you really know them? How many children do you think Dashratha had? 4? Think again. Did Ravana really abduct Sita because of his lust for her? Did Rama really stand any chance against Ravana in battle? Did the Pandavas stand a chance against the Kauravas?

Everyone knows the main story of Ramayana & Mahabharata. But what about the stories behind the stories? What about all those unsung heroes which, while being unknown, play a tremendous role in the overall plots of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Join Aniket, a lively 16-year-old boy, as he decides to spend his entire summer vacation with Anand, his 83-year-old grandfather who has been diagnosed with stage four liver cancer and has been declared terminally ill with only a few months to live. With time running out and not knowing which moment might be his last, his grandfather decides to spend the last few months of his life with his beloved grandson. As with all grandchildren, when Aniket requests his grandfather to tell him stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata, it is a request his grandfather can't refuse.

Join Aniket and Anand on a journey as they discuss politics, dharma, right, wrong, circumstances, deception, strategy, etc. in these final months of Anand's life.

The Inseparable Princes by Ramayana_lover

Ramayana. An Indian epic that has lived through the centuries and has only grown even more in the process. An epic that shows ideal characters, many of whom we worship, and other characters from whom we learn what we shouldn't be at any cost. But one thing that has been a constant for many centuries now is the examples we give, referring to the epic. One of the most popular ones being "Be a brother like Rama." Not only is the Ramayana an enchanting tale of love and devotion, but it's also an equally magical example of brotherhood and affection. Brothers who stood with each other through thick and thin. Brothers who would readily sacrifice their life for the other. Brothers who would love the other, and support him when nobody else did. This book brings to you the Ramayana, but this time, the limelight is on the inseparable brothers. *** Disclaimer: Please do not read this book if you do not like humanization of deities. However, I can assure you that ALL relationships in this book are shown the way they're meant to be - no non-canon shipping. I can also assure you, that since I myself am a devotee of Shri Rama, that you will never have me intentionally writing anything against him, his real nature - the same goes for the others - Sita, Lakshmana, Urmila, Bharata, Mandavi, Shatrughna, Shrutakeerti, Dasharatha, the mothers... All of them will always get their due respect in this book. Secondly, I've followed the Valmiki Ramayana throughout. Some incidents may be revelations, as quite a few things are contrary to popular perception and other versions. Thank you! Fantastic cover designed by @Mochis4lifeq52627 <3

AJATSHATRU: The Son of Death

26 parts Ongoing

Hatred, aversion, threats, conspiracies, life-attempts were all that raged around him, since he stepped in to the kingdom of his late father. He bore them all with a smile, as if nothing hurt. But it did. It pained, scathed, seared through his bones for he craved to find the love and affection from that uncle of his who was supposed to be his well-wisher. They turned him down. Poisoned, exiled, burnt, insulted his family but he stayed quite. Coward, some would call him, to have forgiven so many. If only they had known, how he burnt his heart to warm the lives of others. How he hushed the scream in his soul to provide a world of peace to the others. He became the shelter of solace for his brothers, the pillar of support to his mother, the beacon of hope for the citizens. He cut through the roughest of terrains, passed through the darkest of hells, to reach his dream, 'Peace'. Life shattered him in his voyage but he kept his composure intact. Little did anyone realize, that there would be one breakpoint; one shatter-point where the calmest of all men would lose his control over his anger; one day when he would commit the most unthinkable of all crimes. And little did he know that even a million days spent on its repentance, would be unable to bring back the only things that he had called 'his'. This is his story. The story of Ajatshatru Yudhishthira, the son of Death.
