Everyone, especially Indians, thinks they know Ramayana & Mahabharata. But do you really know them? How many children do you think Dashratha had? 4? Think again. Did Ravana really abduct Sita because of his lust for her? Did Rama really stand any chance against Ravana in battle? Did the Pandavas stand a chance against the Kauravas?

Everyone knows the main story of Ramayana & Mahabharata. But what about the stories behind the stories? What about all those unsung heroes which, while being unknown, play a tremendous role in the overall plots of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Join Aniket, a lively 16-year-old boy, as he decides to spend his entire summer vacation with Anand, his 83-year-old grandfather who has been diagnosed with stage four liver cancer and has been declared terminally ill with only a few months to live. With time running out and not knowing which moment might be his last, his grandfather decides to spend the last few months of his life with his beloved grandson. As with all grandchildren, when Aniket requests his grandfather to tell him stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata, it is a request his grandfather can't refuse.

Join Aniket and Anand on a journey as they discuss politics, dharma, right, wrong, circumstances, deception, strategy, etc. in these final months of Anand's life.

The Inseparable Princes by Ramayana_lover

Ramayana. An Indian epic that has lived through the centuries and has only grown even more in the process. An epic that shows ideal characters, many of whom we worship, and other characters from whom we learn what we shouldn't be at any cost. But one thing that has been a constant for many centuries now is the examples we give, referring to the epic. One of the most popular ones being "Be a brother like Rama." Not only is the Ramayana an enchanting tale of love and devotion, but it's also an equally magical example of brotherhood and affection. Brothers who stood with each other through thick and thin. Brothers who would readily sacrifice their life for the other. Brothers who would love the other, and support him when nobody else did. This book brings to you the Ramayana, but this time, the limelight is on the inseparable brothers. *** Disclaimer: Please do not read this book if you do not like humanization of deities. However, I can assure you that ALL relationships in this book are shown the way they're meant to be - no non-canon shipping. I can also assure you, that since I myself am a devotee of Shri Rama, that you will never have me intentionally writing anything against him, his real nature - the same goes for the others - Sita, Lakshmana, Urmila, Bharata, Mandavi, Shatrughna, Shrutakeerti, Dasharatha, the mothers... All of them will always get their due respect in this book. Secondly, I've followed the Valmiki Ramayana throughout. Some incidents may be revelations, as quite a few things are contrary to popular perception and other versions. Thank you! Fantastic cover designed by @Mochis4lifeq52627 <3

अन्तः अस्ति प्रारंभः। The end is the beginning. A caterpillar dies, to birth a butterfly. Water evaporates to rain down. Dead carcasses fill the stomachs of vultures.Life gives way to death and death to life. In a vicious circle of different karmas and janmas, a soul leaves a decaying body to move onto something better and livelier. But what if certain karmas are found hanging on the thin string between salvation and damnation? This is exactly where Mihira Ramnath Subhedar finds herself. The last of the many Kaliyugis, she was holding on to the narrowest beam that would lead her towards eternal the light, or so she thought. Poets were liars, she discovered when the end neared. There was nothing peaceful about death, no rest and no respite; just an ounce of faith which made her believe that she would finally find a place at the Lord's feet. But the ever merciful Leeladhari had discrete intents for such a soul that had just witnessed the end of the heinous yuga. "No, ain't Vaikuntha but Dvāpara. Good luck completing the unfinished business!" Walk along the aisle with Mihira while she embarks on the greatest pilgrimage of her rekindled life, witnesses the red of the Swastika being washed over by the red of vengeful blood and being swept off her feet by a man she'd never heard of.
