When Naruto is only four years old he gets attacked by the villager's of konoha one night and they decide that they want to 'rid their village of this 'nasty demon.'' Not only that but they decide to tear his body apart limb by limb until he slowly dies, crushing every bone in his body as they do. 

So what happens when weeks later he finds himself naked and buried in a shallow grave with big painful scars circling around both his shoulders and around his left forearm? Around both his thighs, calves and one foot with one huge one circling around from under his left armpit all the way down below his right rib cage and around his back. There's even one that circles around his neck. Then of course there's the other smaller scars from stab wounds, burns, etc.
