She was cursed like the other fairy tale characters and woke up in Storybrooke thinking she was someone else. But she got something they didn't a chance to escape and she ran as far as she could she spent 28 years traveling in our world and then the curse was broken.
She now remembers who she really is and she has just ridden back into town on a motorbike in search of one person who will know who she is, Killian Jones or Captain Hook.
