After they were found out, all of the vampires were found and captured or if they resist they were killed. The ones that didn't resist were relocated miles away from any living human being and put in a place similar to an insane asylum where they are treated for their violence and their need for blood with a new type of medicine. 

For a teen that was turned a year before the human population found out about the Vampires he had lived with his parents, he tried to avoid speaking to them, they didn't notice he was a vampire till the Vampire Control Unit came and took him away.  Cameron is put back into the human population with thousands of people hating what he couldn't help to be.
