I stood tall, lifting my chin to meet his gaze. He sat upon the golden throne, and I remained below. Was I afraid? I couldn't say for certain. I knew the cost of those words, yet I refused to kneel - not before the throne, not before him. His eyes narrowed, lips curled into something between pity and cold amusement. Left alone, she walked around the floors of the Tower, not suspecting what adventures and acquaintances awaited her. How will relationships with new companions develop?
