I'm kind of obsessed with the song champagne problems from Taylor Swift's new album, so I wrote a short story based on it. There are a lot of hints and references to Taylor and some of her other albums as well as many references to the lyrics, see if you can find them all!

This is a concept I came up with one night when I was driving home and listening to Ed Sheeran's album Plus. I thought about how it would be cool to use one or two lines from a song that he wrote in a letter to a person that I wrote. As soon as I got home, I sat down with my laptop and started writing the first two letters. I picked one line that I liked from each song and wrote a letter based on the emotion of that line, not necessarily on the topic of the whole song. Some of the letters are autobiographical, some are pure fiction. I'm almost done with the album and I'm currently thinking about doing the same thing with Multiply. I really hope you enjoy reading these :)

To say Summer 2016 was monumental for Taylor would be a massive understatement. She met the love of her life, feuded with pop culture's biggest power couple, ended two highly publicized romances, dismantled her "squad", and dealt with lots of family drama. It's no wonder so many songs in her discography touch upon these themes. This story focuses on Taylor and Joe's love story but has other plot points. I tried to make it as accurate as possible, referencing song lyrics, things Tay/Joe have said in interviews, and known Taylor sightings. Of course, as this is a fanfic, take everything with a grain of salt- I'm just a swiftie head cannoning lol. Most importantly though, happy reading!! Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction! Most characters and places were created in my head, except for real life people, like celebrities and especially Taylor herself.
