A mysterious man forcibly brought them back leaving John in a abyss of despair while sinking in his trauma he remembers secrets that the authorities had have been desperate to keep secrets. John's allies and enemies work together to put a stop to this. After confronting Arlo and Remi in a courtyard and instigating a fight unwinnable for them, John feels the immense pressure of a power thought to be permanently gone. Facing a fight with his former friend, Seraphina, John is forced into a situation where he truly embraces the old. Unready and unwilling to change yet, John stands his ground with his years of experience propping him up to face the goddess who wants to talk.
