Cass had been looking for her destiny outside of Corona for several months when she gets an invitation to Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding and decides to go back. When she gets there, she's told Varian had been working on his water heaters in the tunnels under the castle and goes down to find him unconscious on the ground. Hours after he was found, Varian wakes up not only blind, but very sick.
