[On Hold]

Xander Gallagher was the second eldest sibling at 19 years old. His mother left when he was young, leaving him to have to mature and grow up beyond his age. Taking over the roll of man of the house to fill in the void that their drunk of a father left whenever he wasn't home.

Charlie Taylor had moved to south side Chicago when she was 9 years old. Her older brother had just overdose on drugs and the neighbours became suspicious of what happened in their home, forcing them to leave and move towns. She had became a drug addict to numb the pain she felt and escape the reality she lived in. Living with alcoholic, drug addict and abusive parents, she stayed at the Gallagher's as much as possible and has done since she was 9.

Xander and Charlie met one day when she was trying to find a place to smoke the joint she had managed to take from her parents stash, ever since then the once 10 and 9 year old have been best friends. Though they hid a secret from each other. A secret that would change everything if told. They both loved each other more than a friend. Both used different methods to try and forget the love they held for each other.

Lately, Lip Gallagher's been off his usual game-but not in the self-destructive way they're used to. He's up early. Out late. Sober more often than not. Focused. Secretive. The Gallagher house notices. Of course they do. He's eating breakfast at the table, not passed out on it. He showers. He's reading-for fun. Fiona's suspicious. Carl assumes it's drugs. Ian just says, "He's hiding something." But nobody knows what. Then one morning, as Lip eats toast with a rare smirk on his face, a car horn blares from outside. One short beep. One long. Lip immediately jumps up. "Gotta go," he says, grabbing his bag. Everyone follows him to the front window out of pure South Side nosiness. They watch as he strides down the steps and into a waiting car-but before he gets in, he leans through the open window and kisses someone. A real kiss. Not a hookup. Not drunk regret. Not just heat. Intention. The car pulls away before anyone gets a good look. Silence. Kev whistles. "Okay... who the hell was that?" V grins. "Lip's got a damn girlfriend." Debbie mutters, "And didn't tell any of us?" Carl: "I bet she's weird. Like, yoga weird." Lip never says a word about it. But now the curiosity is full-blown obsession. The Gallaghers aren't great at boundaries, and this? This is now everyone's business. Eventually, they learn her name-Destiny. She's the same age as Lip. A nursing student. Clean. Focused. Private. Smart. Not from the South Side-and definitely not the type of girl who usually gets mixed up with Gallaghers. But she sees something in Lip he's never seen in himself. And that scares him more than anything. When their two worlds start to collide-her calm against his chaos, her past against his present-Lip has to ask himself: is he falling for her because she's everything he's never had, or because he finally believes he deserves her?

A Different Kind Of Dysfunction - A Shameless Fanfiction (Book One)

41 parts Complete

They weren't supposed to survive her. But they did. In a crumbling South Side apartment, eight Whitman siblings hold each other together while everything else falls apart. Their mother, Sylvia, is a storm of neglect, rage, and addiction. Their father is a ghost. And their home? It's less a house and more a battleground. Adeline Whitman, twenty and barely holding it together, becomes mother by default - protector, provider, and punching bag. But when Sylvia spirals out of control and the system threatens to break the family apart, Adeline makes a choice: she's done surviving. Now she's fighting. As each sibling battles their own demons - Rory's temper, Lily's growing addiction, Sophie's quiet grief, Leah's walls, Tessa's fear, Alyssa's innocence - they cling to each other and to the few people who actually give a damn, including the chaotic, loyal Gallagher family down the street. This isn't a story about perfect kids overcoming adversity. This is about kids who were never given a chance - choosing to stay anyway. To love each other anyway. To fight like hell anyway.
