There was a girl, and there was a boy. One was a small town girl, born and raised in the middle of nowhere and the other a city boy, exposed to the coldness of the real world at an early age. Carter Hughes couldn't remember a man more infuriating than her new roommate. For one, he refused to clean up his side of the room. Everyone had expected her to be a guy, so she dressed the part. But, damn it all, she had to room with this... thing! Really, how was she supposed to like him?! Zephyr Maes was a boy taught early that the world was a cold, unforgiving place, and that time was a tramp who screwed everybody. So every night he brought home alcohol and women, to dull the pain. When he finds out his roommate was a girl, well, it changes everything. How the hell was he to know she'd change him?
