His skin was so white that it sparkled under the light of the winter sun, reflecting heavily off of the fallen, thick piles of snow. If he wasn't standing right before him, he wouldn't have seen him at all. His skin didn't actually sparkle, of course. The first time he mentioned that, he looked like he'd of killed him for just mentioning something from the Twilight Saga.

Blood red eyes stood out amongst his white, porcelain skin. He was focused on something off in the distance, but he knew that the other knew of him watching. Nevertheless, he continued watching anyway. The pale, crimson eyed man was beautiful, and he wasn't going to waste this beautiful image before him.

The wind picked up again, blowing his hair to the south with such a tender breeze that he almost envied it for being able to touch him. He watched as the red and white strands mixed together, ignoring the way the breeze blew through his own ash blonde locks.

The man before him -- No. The vampire before him reminded him of a fine, tall glass of wine. He grinned suddenly. The words left his mouth before he could truly process them, "Sparkling Blood."

'What are you doing here?' he said angrily forcefully yanking my arm. 'I told you to stay hidden.' I pulled my arm free. 'I know but I wanted to help!' I told him with creased brows wondering why we were wasting time. 'By getting yourself killed? Is that your idea of helping?' his deep eyes shot daggers at me. 'I don't care! This is my fight too?' I argued shooting back the daggers. 'You don't...' he mumbled the rest of the statement running his hand through his hair in obvious frustration. 'This is a war, not one of your childish games, Santana.' Injured by his words, I shot back. 'Then i would rather die than li...' I stopped when the atmosphere immediately changed...drastically. His eyes narrowed into mere slits as his face grew dark and he seemed to loom darkly and threateningly over me. I shivered as I stepped back in both awe and fear. He suddenly scooped down and gripped my shoulders pulling closer to him while lifting me off the ground until i was almost the same height as him. 'I will rip everyone's throat with my bare hands before I let anyone touch you.' he hissed his eyes a deep shade of grey that they were almost black. Somewhere in the darkest time and darkest place of history a war broke out between the two children of the night. No one knew how it began or when it began but soon the werewolves and vampires were in the middle of a bloodthirsty war that was effecting all of magical creatures as they were used in favor of wining the battles. It had been going on for centuries and it seemed it had no end. There was no upper hand or ultimate winner just battles after battles. Fallen friends and families and heavy casualties on both sides. It was in that time that the vampire king played his hidden wild card... his masterpiece... his youngest son... the ultimate weapon. Todoroki Shouto was a pure blood vampire and the result of the marriage between two of the strongest pure blood families among royalties. His presence on the battlefield was alone meant absolute defeat to the enemy. His level of skills in both combat and battle strategies were god-tier and his power was beyond any vampire of any kind. Right when werewolves were about to retreat from the front lines and accept defeat a legend raised. A furious ash blond wolf tore the lines of vampires and slaughter them in an eye-blink. Leaving behind only a few injured ones before turning back to a wild grinning young man with tall and muscular body, all covered in blood. He looked down on the low level vampires and growled loudly. "Crawl to your master and tell that little prince of yours that his true match has arrived."

"The curse entailed that only the blood that sought yours, can free you of the curse, until then you shall be asleep." Icarus smirked at her words, he knew where this was going as she continued, "Because your blood is-" "Poisonous and repulsive." She nodded. "So, it's unbelievable that she was the one whose blood sought yours, a human, but it did, or perhaps it was your blood that sought hers...," she mulled over it. "But it's wrong, against the natural-" she observed his gaze. Talking about some natural order of the universe was not something that would befit his ears, given that he was the very example of the abomination formed against the natural laws and order of the blood. ~~ No one knew who he was, or where he came from? But he did, and he conquered all the existing realms, hidden and not so hidden from the human world, and built his kingdom upon the ruins of his enemies. Yet, he remained a pariah. Always was. Always will be. He was Icarus. The Monster. The Legend. The Evil. The Pariah. ~~ Everyone knew her to be a scared little kitten. She looked like one too with her snowy white hair, cerulean blue eyes, and a questionable fate. ~~ What was supposed to be a ridiculous adventure, suggested by her equally ridiculous brave friend turned her life into a whirlwind of crazy and bloody, when she stumbled and accidentally awakened the sleeping, ravenous, and absolutely psychotic monster, Icarus. What made her the lucky woman to jostle him out of his centuries of sleep? As a thanks, she was rewarded with the title of being his most beloved SLAVE. Dive into their journey as we unravel their ribbons of fate, and immerse ourselves into their complicated relationship. ~~ This book is a dark fantasy romance novel and Icarus is an original fantasy character that I created. He is not a vampire or a werewolf but something entirely new and interesting.
