All Asher Burns wants is to live his life like a normal college student but how does one go on normally after watching a near suicide? The tragic event happened two years ago but left him with nightmares and vivid images during the day. His mind can't seem to shut the event out.
For Christmas vacation, he decides to get away from the small town, that hurt him too much, and take a trip to Idaho. Who he later meets will shock him to his core and turn his life around.

"It never stops. It doesn't get better, when I think it's getting better it just doesn't." She started, tears once again streaming down her face. "I'm sick of it. They don't even care."
Bliss hadn't ever told anyone how she felt inside and she didn't know why she was opening up to a complete stranger. Maybe it was because it's easier. She would never see him again anyway.
"They do though. Someone always cares. You just need to let them know you're hurting. It'll get better just please don't do this. You need to stay so things can get better." Asher replied. His heart pounded against his chest. Part of him wanted to believe he could talk her out of this but deep down he feared he couldn't save her.
"I've tried for so long to stay and wait for it to get better but it doesn't. Tell them I'm sorry." She said quickly looking over her shoulder then turning back around to face the water below.
"BLISS NO," he yelled.
That is when his deepest fear became reality. Bliss had stepped forward and began falling, all Asher could do was call 911 and wait for them to send help. Her screams echoed in his mind and little did he know they were there to stay for years to come.

BEING ANITA
'I love you,' Asher told me while the police man handcuffed him. The night glimmered in his green eyes. His dark hair was tousled, strands like conductors of the energy in his chest. "I fucking love you." In other circumstances, a few years ago, I would've easily retorted, but there was a humid substance being loaded in the unfiltered air that wrapped around my throat, and I couldn't speak. If I tried, I'd break into a full fledged scream, and possibly end up handcuffed as well. I took many steps back, retreating from the source of toxicity, suppressing a pseudo feeling of guilt but being grasped by its hands so easily I could simply lunge at my boyfriend and tell him everything would be all right, that he had done the right thing, and that I was so proud of him. But as much as I wished him to, he wasn't a child anymore, and I had ceased to be the girl he idealized. The man pushed Asher's head into the vehicle, and he repeated "I love you" over and over, like a fresh mantra. I didn't doubt his words. But there were just a few things that still made sense to me, and his voice was in the past. A relic that was rooted in a better context. Us. He's toxic, he's manipulative, he's mean, but somehow she's attracted to him. Of course neither wants to admit it though. I don't endulge in romance like this it's just fun to write. This is also a slow burn. If you're impatient and want character development fast this book isn't for you. I want to keep this story as realistic as possible and people changing their ways overnight isn't. I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.
I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
