Chiara Eaton, daughter of the war hero's from from 2250, Tris and Tobias Eaton. Prideful and reckless, she realises that she had underestimated the challenges that lie ahead. For one, she had never thought she would have been bullied, especially by a boy. He knows every way he can get under her skin, and she can't do anything about it because he is the only one who can beat her silly.
But on top of that, relationships are at risk, and she needs to get through initiation to spend her days with her fraction.
There is no Factionless anymore, instead if you fail you must find sanctuary outside the wall. Nobody has ventured out since the end of the war, and those who left haven't returned. Though the gates remain open, everyone remains, until they are forced to leave.

~ Adding a new twist to the infamous series Divergent by Veronica Roth ~ When Evelyn Johnson, mother of Tobias Eaton and wife of Marcus Eaton, fakes her death in order to escape the domestic abuse of her husband, she flees to the Factionless in hopes to find a haven. She's met with uncertainty and a certain guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing goods and food. Up until she reveals a secret that changes - and will change - everything: she's pregnant. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Astrid Johnson grows happily among the Factionless - she makes friends and feels included in the community, but her existence remains unknown of her father Marcus and her brother Tobias. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan. And infiltering the Dauntless under a false identity while under the terrifying scrutiny of Dauntless leaders is a near-suicide mission. ⚠️ TW: dark themes, such as domestic abuse, bullying, suicide, abusive authority figures, violence, drugs, sexual encounters... but highly graphic scenes are kept to a bare minimum to respect the tone of the original series ⚠️

Tris grew up in the small, snowy town of Snow Falls which goes crazy at Christmas town. Everyone looks forward to the snow and hit cocoa. Except for Tris; her father died and Christmas's were never the same since he was the spirit. As soon as she graduated from college she got out of the old town and became a best selling author. Now, at 25, she's come back to the town for Christmas at her mom and new husbands request. Tobias Eaton has lived in the town since the day be was born. He grew up loving the holiday. He's always happy in the snowy, hot filled holiday time. They were best friends growing up. Attached by the hip. Tris's parents and his would make jokes about them falling in love and getting married while staying in the small town. After she moved, she dropped ties with him and others. Third of all: Disclaimer: I respect Ms. Roth's ending, but I still love Tris, so here I am. I also don't own Divergent. EXCERPT FROM TOBIAS' POV: 'That is how I lost my temper. I couldn't stand her. Or David. Or The precious, ever-so-worthy Bureau. I punched her square in the nose, and she fell. Weakling. Do these so-called Pures know how to fight? I kick her, until someone pulls me away. I hear them mutter, "stupid Dauntless soldiers. Why is this my job, taking them to David?"' EXCERPT FROM TRIS' POV: 'Mom?" I say, softly, and she embraces me. But this time it is not a tug towards death, but rather the opposite. A string to life. "Beatrice," she says, and I break from the hug. "I just wanted to say to you that I am so proud of you, Beatrice. You are strong, brave, intelligent, and beautiful. I can tell you are going to have a great future with Tobias." Then she says to me what she said to me a month ago, an hour before I had met Tobias/Four, and exactly 50 minutes before I had met Christina. "I love you. No matter what."
