Chiara Eaton, daughter of the war hero's from from 2250, Tris and Tobias Eaton. Prideful and reckless, she realises that she had underestimated the challenges that lie ahead. For one, she had never thought she would have been bullied, especially by a boy. He knows every way he can get under her skin, and she can't do anything about it because he is the only one who can beat her silly. 
But on top of that, relationships are at risk, and she needs to get through initiation to spend her days with her fraction. 

There is no Factionless anymore, instead if you fail you must find sanctuary outside the wall. Nobody has ventured out since the end of the war, and those who left haven't returned. Though the gates remain open, everyone remains, until they are forced to leave.

Tris grew up in the small, snowy town of Snow Falls which goes crazy at Christmas town. Everyone looks forward to the snow and hit cocoa. Except for Tris; her father died and Christmas's were never the same since he was the spirit. As soon as she graduated from college she got out of the old town and became a best selling author. Now, at 25, she's come back to the town for Christmas at her mom and new husbands request. Tobias Eaton has lived in the town since the day be was born. He grew up loving the holiday. He's always happy in the snowy, hot filled holiday time. They were best friends growing up. Attached by the hip. Tris's parents and his would make jokes about them falling in love and getting married while staying in the small town. After she moved, she dropped ties with him and others.
