Miriam Kristi Rosavelt moves to London Fields, California in the first year of high school. Things were beginning to change when she realized Cali wasn't the same as the small town in Connecticut. She knew she would never fit in, so she told a few lies about herself and gets away with it, but realizes which consequences would follow. Miriam meets a mysterious boy, Zackary Anderson, and his strange sister, Delphine.
