All Adalina was worried about was whether or not she would make a good queen to Estrella one day. She never thought her kingdom and home would be invaded and stolen away from her by the Dragos, a violent clan from across the ocean. Her father was able to get her away from the castle by having her escape with 2 servant brothers, Phoenix and Hunter, along with her little brother, Prince Braxton. Adalina knows that she has to survive, fight to get her kingdom, and protect her little brother. She does not know whether she should trust Phoenix and Hunter or later on, a group of rebels they meet. While fighting a war with the Dragos, Adalina is also fighting a war with her heart and mind. Feelings blossom between her and another rebel that she does not want to get in the way of getting her home back and keeping Braxton safe. Will Adalina be able to win this war? Or will there be many unexpected surprises and changes too difficult to overcome along the way?

Just seventeen, Keira is not eager to decide the rest of her life, but as usual, she will not have much choice. She has always known she would have to marry - and well, but as the deadline nears, she begins to feel more and more suffocated. It doesn't help that most of her prospects are tedious, arrogant, sometimes entirely revolting, and only interested in using her for some advantage with her father. The only man she can stomach the thought of accepting, also offers the most terrifying future - as royalty. Keira loves Alex, but not romantically, and she doesn't believe she ever will. Not that it keeps him from trying to convince her otherwise....But if it was possible, would love make the rest of it bearable? Especially considering her alternatives? Just as she begins to allow herself to believe in the possibility of a romantic future, someone sets out to destroy it all. When Keira is kidnapped, she realizes just how much she has taken for granted - Alex included. She must find a way to rescue herself and make it home to spoil her abductors' plans. Unfortunately she doesn't know how to get home or even how far it might be. She has no food, no supplies, and no idea how to survive on her own. And asking the wrong person for help could be disastrous. (Sequel to Keira's Fire & Daughter of the Rebellion)
