Marinette used Kaalki to teleport from Paris, from Chat after she took his miraculous, from the death of her parents, from the betrayal of her friends, from Lila, from the heartbreak, from the pain, from everything. She ends up back in Gotham. Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, takes her in. Did she forget to mention Jagged Stone adopts her after finding out what happens? Little did she know, a certain traffic light vigilante spotted her. Next thing she knows, the Bats are in front of her. Yup, she's been kidnapped by the Bats. Great. (All characters do not belong to me except for Emma Carson. Emma Carson is my OC, The cover belongs to me but the picture does not. DC and Miraculous Ladybug DO NOT belong to me.)

Marinette moves to Gotham when Bunnix warns that Lila will ruin her life if she stays in Paris, giving Hawk Moth the chance manipulate Marinette's emotions and akumatize her. But Marinette won't let that happen. She wins the Wayne Foundation full-ride scholarship for Gotham Academy and moves into an apartment in an area called Crime Alley. It's not going to be easy to hide her powers, and excuse herself during the middle of classes to take care of akuma attacks back in Paris, but she's sure that somehow she'll be able to manage it. Damian "Ice Prince" Wayne doesn't understand the feelings that he is developing for the new French exchange student. She's just another pretty girl... perhaps a very smart girl... but just a girl! Why does his heart beat faster whenever she's around?
