BOOK #1 in The Fire series TRIGGER WARNING IN SOME CHAPTERS He leans closer, keeping me pinned against the wall with his hands on either side of my head. I glanced at both of them before holding his glare with my own. He was giving me a cold stare, caging me in like an animal. I bit my lip, trying to hold it back. I was never good in situations like these. He stopped leaning forward when his face was just inches from mine. He was trying to make me uncomfortable. Trying to scare me, but he didn't. I wasn't scared of him. I didn't hide my face or get nervous... I just bit my lip harder, trying to hold it in. It would just make things worse for me, I bet. He kept his eyes on mine as I glanced at his friend behind him with his arms crossed and a bored expression on his face. I looked back at the man in front of me. "You shouldn't act that way around me." He says coldly. "I can have you dead right-" I couldn't hold it in. I started laughing. He leans back, shocked, but his face goes into a glare as soon as his friend behind him perks up, watching, interested now. I calm down a little. "I'm sorry." I say, catching my breath. "Continue, Continue." He watched me closely before leaning closer to me again. "I can have you killed-" Suddenly, I lost it again, laughing harder, bending a little to hold my stomach. He punched the wall in an effort to scare me but instead made me laugh even harder, falling to the ground and rolling on my side. Soon I had his friend laughing with me as the man in front of me glared at both of us. "Don't give me that look. She's the one who started laughing." His friend said, wheezing a little bit and trying to stop laughing. I calmed down a bit, standing up to face them, a smile on my face. "Now, if you're done threatening me," I raise an eyebrow. "Or at least trying to. I'll be on my way." With that, I grabbed my backpack, turned my back to them, and walked away.

'For The Mafia' Series - Book 1 of 3! ~~~ "Down on your knees." He lets go of my hair and pushes my shoulders down roughly, before unbuttoning and shrugging off his shirt. I kneel in front of him and instantly unbuckle his belt and unzip his black pants. He watches me eagerly from above, keeping his hands to his side, letting me lead. "Are you jealous when I flirt with those men for information?" I bat my eyes up at him innocently as I pull his pants down to his knees. His face hardens as he considers my question. "I don't like your hands on them." He grumbles and I smirk. I already knew the answer. "I do it for you, Enzo." I remind him as I move my mouth closer to him. "Only me." He growls as he pulls my head forward, closing the space between us. ~~~ When a dangerous mafia leader meets this particular stripper, he learns she is anything but. Life had taken a turn for the better ever since my troubled brother was incarcerated for life. However, one day, a sense of unease crept over me and my best friend as we noticed a mysterious figure tailing us through the bustling town. "Ally, who's that man?" my best friend inquired, her voice tinged with concern. I scanned the area nervously, my heart pounding. "We should get out of here," I urged, seizing her arm as we hastily made our way through the crowded streets. Abruptly, I awoke from a disquieting nightmare, my screams ricocheting through the silent house. "Mom, there's a man chasing me in my dreams," I gasped out, my hands trembling. She attempted to soothe me, attributing the tumultuous visions to my overactive imagination. On one occasion, I inadvertently overheard my mom and aunt engaged in a hushed conversation, puzzling over what impending revelation they were deliberating. Eventually, I mustered the courage to confront the enigmatic man who had been shadowing me. "Why have you been following me? Who are you?" I demanded, my voice quivering with trepidation. "I am Aleekie Smith," he disclosed, leaving me dumbfounded. "You're the man from my dream," I whispered, the pieces falling into place. The drama unfolded further as I crossed paths with a former boyfriend adamant on asserting control, his aggression escalating to a perilous climax when he brandished a firearm. Feeling ensnared, I made a pivotal decision to extricate myself from the tumult, severing ties with everyone in a dramatic departure. Amidst escalating tension and conflict, an unexpected source of solace materialized in the form of my father, ushering the narrative into an unforeseen trajectory. To uncover the compelling trajectory of events that ensued, I urge you to continue reading. This is merely the entrancing prologue of the gripping saga that awaits. Don't forget to vote and comment!

There was a long pause despite the loud music, and the feeling only amplified as I decided to ignore it. "You seem out of place here..." His voice was low muffled by a cigarette he held to his lips. But I could still hear his voice rise over the music. "I've been to a night club before." I turned my head to look at the man who spoke, his green eyes had a trace of amusement once he recognized I finally addressed him. I leaned against the bar and sipped my drink. The taste of the alcohol washed over my tongue, it was strong but I managed the sip with ease. "You seem out of place, in general. A lot on your mind?" the low voice asked however it sounded more like a demand. "Isn't that what the bartender is for?" I look away from him, as I down my drink. "I'd hate to spew all my problems on to a man who is trying to enjoy his night." I continued as I kept my eyes forward. But I saw in the corner of my eye, his hand lifted and he snapped his fingers. Soon another drink was being poured in my glass despite the many asking for first rounds. I glance over at the man who has not let his eyes falter from my face. It was the man in the rain... "I'm better than the bartender." I watched him raise his glass and take a sip before adding. "I'm the boss."
