Techno stared at the two brothers once familiar to the family. The blond was confused by the group of three, bow held tightly as he made sure they knew he would strike at any moment. The brunette smiled as memories flooded back of who they were. Wilbur raised his hands up, moving a step forward as the blonds only reaction was moving his gaze to the other. Techno didn't know what had happened to the two youngest, but whatever it was must have been deadly if they ran this far away from home.
[ If this made no sense, first chapter explains the AU better. I am trash at writing and have horrible motivation so the upload for this book (and really any of my books) are wack. ]

"I uh," Tommy starts, not knowing how to break this to the hero lightly. He hates to be the bearer of bad news. "I think your powers are broken? Technically he should be screaming- any other mortal would when met with a huge being with boar features, royally dressed and adorned with enough weapons to dice a human into a grain of rice. But Tommy wasn't scared, heck he was fighting the urge to throw himself at the Blood God and cling- but he was a big man, and big men didn't hug- "I told you he would be waiting" That's another voice that Tommy recognises, glancing away from the terrifying creature to land his gaze on a man sat lazily on one of the pews. His hair was curlier than Tommy's, darker too contrasting his fluffy yellow jumper and brown trenchcoat. He grins and Tommy can't help but smile back at the God of Music "He couldn't wait to see us, obviously" teases the Blood God and Tommy scoffs "As if- I actually live here nimrods, technically you're visiting me" he retorts and they chuckle "Then maybe we should have knocked?" Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him. "You look awful...Come with us, mate." But Tommy didn't want to. Tommy finally found him by the beach. They hadn't been back there in what felt like forever, it seemed like years ago Tommy had found the older male injured and bleeding in the forest. "So, you've been here all day," The blonde said to announce his presence but the other didn't seem to notice or bother signaling he did. Tommy took a careful step forward but stopped a few feet away from the seated male. "Everyone's been worried," "They shouldn't be," Dream said softly. Tommy frowned. He took notice the other's mask was resting on the ground to his left and felt his confusion rise. "Why not?" He decided to humor the other. Dream sighed heavily and looked up to the sky causing his hood to pool around his shoulders. "Am I a bad person, Tommy?" The teen's heart stopped, Dream went on. The man glanced down at his own red dress, seeing why people would say something like that and smiling to himself softly. "Thank you," he answered quietly. ... Wilbur had never seen another person so beautiful until he saw Quackity that night at some party he dismissed as pointless. Every thought just became a blur, he'd never felt so nervous.
