"Laws are like promises, only fools will abide by them and swear to not break them."

Oikawa said as he was looking through his law book with a bored expression, catching Iwaizumi's attention. "Oh? So, mr. I'm having a mental meltdown over a case, where are you going with this point?" Oikawa snorted.

"Say Iwaizumi, have you ever wanted to break the law? I'm not talking about minor things here, like stealing snacks from a convenience store or popping a pill." Iwaizumi tilted his head slightly in interest. "I mean yeah, but where are you going with this?"

"This world is full of pigs who I can't even give the victims their needed justice." was all he said before slamming his book shut. The color in Iwaizumi's face drained a bit. "Oikawa..?"

His cheeks were dusted pink and he was as stoic as ever. Yet, deep down, and deep in his eyes, the eyes that brought me solace, I saw disappointment, I saw rejection, and I saw sadness. His eyes spoke to me, telling me he wanted me to kiss him back, he wanted to show me what he felt because his words failed him. But he didn't need to say anything, his eyes told me everything. They told me he didn't leave me, they showed me the fire of anger and righteousness, and they told me one very important thing. One thing I knew all along, ever since that moment when we spoke in the classroom about Oikawa and (Bff/N), ever since he saw me in the art class or borrowed the green paint. I knew it when he chased me down in the park, and when I cried, and when we had lunch, and when he took me to (Bff/N). It was in every look I gave him, it was in that nagging feeling and need to look at him in art class, it was in the calmness of his voice. It was also in the way his voice pulled me out of my deepest pit, and in the way his name was the only thing I could and wanted to focus on in that pit. It was always there, but I never recognized it. That small voice at the back of my head was telling me this all along, but I didn't understand her language back then. I didn't understand. But I decoded it, his eyes helped me learn the language. His eyes told me he was the one. ~| *** |~ "Just don't run." He said, making me gasp and slap his shoulder. It was as if he thought exactly the same thing as I did. "That depends on you, Iwa. Don't make me run away." He smiled, pulling back away from me and held his pinky in front of me. "Pinky-promise?" I couldn't help myself anymore. I don't think I would be able to live without this dork. "Pinky-promise."

You were a beacon of light. One that gave me strength. You called me your best friend, so in turn, I called you that as well. We really were inseparable. It was us against the world. Nothing could touch me when you were by my side. But now you're gone... I don't blame you. I was the one that pushed you away, tossed you to the wolves, and destroyed your chances at happiness. Why? Because I was scared of needing you, scared of you getting too close, scared of falling in love with you. It's okay now. Shine your light on someone else. Shine it on him. The one that pulled you up from the pits of hell in which I pushed you in. Love him... Love Oikawa. And maybe, just maybe, one day, I'll find someone who can love me in the same way you love him. Scars, and all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello everyone! To avoid any confusion, please check out my Oikawa x Reader fanfiction. This is the spin-off and is not, I repeat, IS NOT an Oikawa x Reader. In this story, we will be following the antagonist of my Oikawa x Reader, who is named Mia Fujisaki. I will be using the Haikyuu universe (which I don't own). But MOST of the characters I use will be my own OC's. Disclaimer: I don't own the Haikyuu plot and I don't own any of the Haikyuu characters. ⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING!!! Mature content/language, SA, violence, mentions of death, mentions of abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts/actions, scars, eating disorder, and ANGST⚠️ I love all of my wonderful readers, and I hope you enjoy it! :) Editing!!!
