A long life is something everyone expects. For their life to be full and happy. To grow as old as 108 like you said when you were young. Getting ill is something that can't be helped. An occasional cold or a bug, the flu maybe once or twice. Yet no one expects to get their life cut short. Nor do they expect to get so ill they'll never recover. That can't be controlled and, if it could be, then many doubt it would exist today. Something that can be controlled however, is what you do with your remaining time. Whether you get married, travel the world, or even stay at home watching crappy tv, as long as it makes you happy. And happiness is all that matters.
