Many such pieces lie in my basement, trapped in sheets of my canvas, some dark and gloomy just like that room, while others bright and colorful in contrast to it. But one thing was common, they were all evil, evil by looks and vibes , evil by voice.

 Yes they speak, The portraits they speak. I learnt this skill when I was young and practiced ever since as a result I have now mastered it. I first heard them when I made my first completely perfect portrait. I spoke to it for a while but then my master said that you should never speak to them, they are evil. My master was stern but never wanted bad for me, master died when I was 10 and I never spoke to them again.
