"See, I don't like the knights in shining armour. I like them dark and twisted," I said. "And in most cases, it's the men who need to be saved." We all know Draco Malfoy: toxic, a bully, hated, feared and finally, a Death Eater. But who was he really under his dark cloak? What if he met someone who could win his heart over; a heart nobody believed he had? Good and Evil blur together as the storyteller changes - especially when she's pulled into his darkness. Charlotte "Lola" Fitzgerald-du Maurier was born in Paris as the daughter of Hortense du Maurier and William Fitzgerald, two well-respected magicians in the wizarding world. Her mother Hortense, a French witch, met her father, William, in the mid 1970s in Hogwarts when the Triwizard Tournament was taking place there. They fell in love, got married eventually and moved to Paris, Hortense's home. Their only child was Charlotte. She had been attending Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, but when her mother died, nothing was ever the same anymore. Missing his English home and family, her father decides to move back to London. Charlotte was now in her fifth year and had to complete her magical education at Hogwarts. She was not thrilled about leaving her Parisian home and all her friends behind to live in cold and rainy Scotland. But she couldn't bear seeing her father suffer one more day and so she happily agreed to switch schools. After all, she wanted to focus on the good: a change of scenery never hurt nobody for a while, and when she returned to France, she would appreciate it even more. Besides, famous Harry Potter, who was known in the wizarding community even in France, was also a student of Hogwarts. Maybe Ronald Weasley, the little brother of her distant cousin Fleur's fiancé, could introduce her to him, see what the fuss is all about.
