There is no relationship between the main characters. None at all.  They are all completely different and are the kind of people that wouldn't get along, even if you believe in "opposites attract". And I bet they would agree. But they are all connected to one way--their lives were completely normal until one inexplicable thing changed their lives. Something that they would slowly bring them all together.
