Aella's eyebrow twitched as she smacked her cousin upside the head. "That's not what I meant. What I meant is: I'm using the crystal to leave this world. I'm gonna start a new life from scratch, somewhere else."

Aella Cassidy. A normal-ish girl with a normal life. A bad past. A secret to hide. A life to live. She had always wanted to know the person behind her family's murder, and after two years, she does just that.
But sometimes not knowing could be better. She decides to utilize the power of her secret. A stone. A mystical one.
She wants to start over and live the life the way her family would've wanted her to. "Live life to the fullest with no regrets. Life is too short to waste." That's the code she lives by.
And so, she uses the stone to leave her world and start anew. She doesn't know what to expect, but it definitely isn't a world full of notorious pirates, marines who have a twisted sense of justice and a corrupt government. Still, she certainly recognized the place. After all, she did read the manga and watch the anime of One Piece.

OC Self-Insert One Piece fan fiction. Don't like, don't read. There will be some canon-divergence, though. Aella is strong, but I'll try to tone it down a notch.

Basically, this is just a modern AU of One piece but in my AU. this isn't a One-shot tho, this is basically something I came up with while laying on my bed instead of sleeping like I was suppose to. This is basically an AU where all pirates in the original universe are criminals here, marines are the police obviously. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ace, Sabo, Luffy and Lora have always wanted freedom. Every time it is in their grasp, it slips past them and doesn't appear again in a while. It has always been like this, since they met their psychopathic and controlling 'boss', freedom sounded like a legend in the minds of the four. Being assassin's for the infamous Blackbeard's was their job. Killing people since they were captured, trained until their bones broke, it's a never ending cycle they had to endure. For they knew what would happen if they slipped up. They never tried thinking of any type of escape plan, for every opportunity they had was quickly closed up. They thought they would stay in this corrupted operation forever, they really did. But their boss finally slipped up, bringing them to the one place they had placed all their hope in getting out. In a struggle to find meaning in life you join up with Doflamingo and start upon a murderous path. In his rescue from Impel Down he asks you to infiltrate the Straw Hats in order to get revenge for what happened on Dressrosa. In which you do, but find yourself distracted by a feeling you thought you only felt towards Doffy. Story takes place a little bit after Dressrosa Arc, after that it's 100% not on track with the story- but it does eventually go to Wano......."I'll be waiting for you in the Land of Wano! Come at any cost!" This is meant to be a Doflamingo x Reader story but there is some Zoro x Reader and Sanji x Reader.
