When her only way home is destroyed by rebels, Valeria makes it her mission to get back. She and her team scour the modern realm for any clues on how to fix the two portals that led to their home. Alone and in unknown territory Valeria attends Drakon Academy. Home to the world's largest demi-mortal library it was bound to have answers. The plan was simple: read as much as possible, take notes for future use, and keep a low profile. Three years later with little to show for it, Valeria has kept out of sight but made some along the way. She thought leaving them would be the hardest. That was until she ran into the Prince of Lycans. With things made a little more complicated, life in the modern world has gotten a little more interesting.

Lucy already knew skinwalkers were real after growing up on the Navajo reservation. She had no idea the rest of it was real until getting mauled by a skinwalker, which would cause her to change into one and wreck mayhem anywhere she went... except the one place where a shapeshifters magic is repressed, Shifters Pen, which is commonly known as the minotaur's labyrinth. She finds the unbelievable when she volunteers to enter Shifters Pen.
