In a world where your first (and last) words are reserved for your soulmate, Sugawara Koushi has lived without speaking a word for all of the 15 years of his life. Most find their soulmates around the ages of 5-14. But Sugawara is one of the unlucky ones going into high school silent. The ability to speak is something that is not earned until you have come in contact with your soulmate, but lost when you and your soulmate are upset with each other. Or when the unthinkable happens to your soulmate.
